The United States has secured a Rare Earth Minerals Deal with The Country of Ukraine, creating an immediate stepping-stone to end War with Russia. According to reports, The Seven Points Agreement has not officially been secured, but this Minerals Deal alone may suffice to cessation of conflict.
The Seven Points Agreement was a list of seven items for Russia and Ukraine to agree upon. Basic items such as cessation of conflict on the frontlines, Russia keeps the territory it captured, Crimea is recognized as part of Russia, Ukraine must not join NATO, and US-Russia Partnership of a Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, are on the list.
However, a Minerals Agreement essentially provides ‘Security Guarantee’ for Ukraine without explicitly announcing an overt Security Guarantee. Trump claimed he would NOT give Ukraine a Guarantee for The United States to intervene and defend if Russia were to aggress again.
The Deal revolves around America and Ukraine splitting discovery of Rare Earth Minerals 50/50 within Ukrainian Land. This Deal will be in place for the next 10 years. This means, while The United States has mining efforts inside of Ukraine, Russia will theoretically not attack — they wouldn’t dare directly intervene against another Major Superpower, especially against The United States.
At the same time, this is a way for The United States to recoup some of the losses we’ve given to Ukraine — an accumulated $200B for armaments and war efforts.
According to Zelenskyy, Biden claimed capital sent to Ukraine was a grant, meaning it did not have to be paid back. On record, capital given to Ukraine was considered a ‘Loan Guarantee’. This essentially means The United States would claim access and ownership of Ukrainian Resources; this would be extracted via American Companies.
Rare Earth Minerals are particularly beneficial for America, as we rely heavily on China for REMs. While The US has domestic production in California, we import 70% from our Asian Counterpart. Emerging projects currently exist in Wyoming, Montana, and Texas. This is an effort to be less reliant on foreign sources.
REMs are significant towards US National Security and technological competitiveness. Lasers, jet engines, and guidance systems for National Security; Batteries and semiconductors for marketplace competition.
In terms of Zelenskyy securing his political out, he can now go back to The Ukrainian people and claim he has American Protection. While not explicit, it’s implied through this Minerals Partnership. America is able to extract from Ukrainian resources. In exchange, Ukraine will be indirectly safeguarded from further Russian Aggression.
While Russia did initiate this ‘military operation’, understanding the history of why Ukraine was invaded is necessary to understand context. The expansion of NATO, when NATO was directly created to combat USSR, is a large reason.
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics fell, leading to the creation of The Russian Federation. At that point, NATO had no incentive to expand, other than for acts of power. Every US President that has come in direct contact with Putin told him [Putin] America would not further expand of NATO, yet the converse action occurred. This led to deep mistrust of America and NATO.
Every Major Superpower (Russia, China, US) desires to have a buffer zone from other Major Superpowers, and allies of. America has natural boundaries to separate — land and water; we are also far from Russia or China. However, America has been using NATO to install Puppet Governments and put Allied Nations along The Border of Russia. This is essentially ‘Soft Aggression’. This is what prompted Putin to take action when they saw an opportunity.
Russia has achieved their end goal of accessing Crimea directly. This was essential for a direct line of access to The Black Sea for shipping ports. The Black Sea branches out into The Mediterranean, giving Russia another access point to World Trade.
The best interest for The United States would be to immediately recoup the $200B lost and back out of Ukraine completely, including BioLabs and other functions we have in said territory. Unfortunately, in order for Conquests and Military Interests, we will most likely STAY in Ukraine. By the time 10 years is up, Trump will have no say in Foreign Policy.
America continues to overextend itself, the same as The British Empire. The end result is a lack of ability to properly control regions of The World. This ultimately creates vulnerability for America as resources as unnecessarily expended.
America must be ‘black and white’ with issues and countries; right now we are ‘gray’ — for very good reason. We can arbitrarily decide what we’ll safeguard and what we won’t. This typically aligns if there’s significant interest for US Special Interests at the time.
